Hotkeys

What is a hotkey?

A key that combusts into a flame the moment you touch it?

I'm just going to assume you know what a hotkey is.

Application hotkeys

The Windows Layout Manager supports two different hotkeys, that you can configure and decide on, and which can be enabled or disabled as you see fit. One hotkey is to hide/unhide the application and one is used for the contextual active window popup menu.

Layout hotkeys

A layout hotkey allows you to apply a layout by hitting your chosen key combination.

Window hotkeys

A window hotkey allows you to apply your chosen actions to windows that match the definition. Similar to layout hotkeys but much more powerful because a window hotkey can apply to either a single window or a collection of different windows. This is possibly a confusing feature (really, it's a feature, not a bug disguised and presented as a feature) so you might really want to read most of what's in this help file.

What about the Page Up key?

If you're looking for the Page Up key when configuring hotkeys, look for "Prior" instead of "Page Up".

Sorry but that's just what Microsoft called the key and is what will be shown in the selector.
