The hotkey explorer shows you all the hotkeys that are defined and enabled within the Windows Layout Manager.
It can easily occur that you have hotkeys in use that you forgot about or didn't even remember assigning. It is also possible that copying window definitions between layouts, or copying entire layouts, results in duplicate hotkeys being used for more than one window definition. While this is entirely intentional behavior and by design it may lead to unintended layout behavior and then you're stuck looking through all the layouts and window definitions trying to locate all the hotkeys. This is where the hotkey explorer comes in handy. It will show you the key combination, the layout, and the window definition (the optional description if available, so this may be a good reason to make sure you give definitions a proper description).
